[Editorial] A Clarifying Moment, by latewrite
1. 美安人as a Phenomenon:
"…more than half of the Arena were still filled by our countrymen,
and among them more than half were our countrywomen."
At the end of long conference day at the American Airline Arena, as soon as the main session ended at around 5:30PM, an announcement was quickly made in Chinese Mandarin,
“所有华人经销商先不要走, 我们接下去开我们的华人经销商春节庆功会!”
When the Arena once again settled, people who needed to stay had moved down to the floor area and to the lower portion of the Arena’s balcony, it was there among the regrouped, sat in dense packs on randomly chosen seats that surrounds a less brilliant stage with major spot lights dimmed, each one of attendees looked around, without a word, a beamed expression exchanged as they eyed one another. If there were still doubts for that observation, they quickly vanished. Without exaggeration, what everyone sees is a clarifying moment, that more than half of the Arena, nearly two-third of it is still occupied by the attendees; They’re all our countrymen, and among them more than half were our countrywomen.
That was just the attendees for conference!
It was February 7th, 2008, the day of the Chinese Lunar New Year was spent exactly like this. For the attendees it was also the first opening day of the Market America Leadership School in Miami, Florida. A lion dance was introduced at the opening to recognize the day, crowds cheered for its dazzling unusualness. The itinerary then went on for a full day of events. Prior the meeting and from that early morning on, New Year greetings were exchanged among teammates and friends even when waiting outside of the Arena. Cell phones rang with text messages worked as a sufficient deliver substitute. Yet for some, chatting on the Internet on the previous night via IM and webcam were a feasible choice, to connect with relatives who lived on a different continent. But for all, this is just another typical day for being a MA distributor, on the road for a meeting which should not be missed.
With that clarity moment, a fact reinstated itself and sent a strong signal. In merely 16 years of MA establishment, the Chinese involvement had undeniable contribution. The predominant numbers of Chinese distributors in the MA force doubled even tripled and continue to grow rapidly, even before the emerged Taiwan and Hong Kong markets added to the factor. How have our Chinese distributors achieved so much successes in the field of, how should we name it, “marketing”?. We don’t intend to bring upon an academic explanation, we pointed out to the dedication, the interaction and the unique understanding that construes a fulfilled daily life of business building.
2. 美安人as a Spirit:
美安人特有的融与汇:
在meianren.NET, 在谈论美安中国经销商的发展时, 我们不能不谈到我们中国经销商特有的融与汇. 这里我们不能不提到美安人所保持的潜隐的自我. 这个自我包括自己对周围问题的想法, 理解和归融, 还有自己特有的谦虚, 以及成长道路上自己的所悟出的道理. 难道不是吗? 我们要问, 在一个franchise-like的生意体系里, 真的individuality和individual creativity没有一丝的作用吗? 真的是Are you coachable? Yes / or No这样的简单吗? 我们要举几个众所周知的例子, 来说明为什么在meianren.NET我们提倡挖掘这个自我与周边的融与汇.
Marian Kuo在Miami时讲, 她在学习"成功五要诀"时总结出三个字, "信, 原, 行". 多么简明又意味深长的三个字呀. 也许不只只是Marian Kuo，也许还有很多很多美安人总结出过如此深入潜出的座右明。这里我们想阐明一点，尽管只有极少数人会同意这个提法，也许大多数人还不会认同这个提法，或者由于某种原因不能也不愿意认同这个提法；但是清清楚楚摆在这里的是一个不容否认的事实。 当某个想法突然有一天变成了你自己的想法时，你就是困了也不睡觉，饿了不吃饭， 渴了不喝水，爬着摸着也要把它做成。 不是吗？我们众多的“理想板”不就是一个认同自己想象力最好见证吗？
一位说广东话的年轻人边开车边对我说过这样一句话, 作美安就像读佛经一样, 需要悟!
不仅仅是理念上的理解，在具体做法上中国经销商的理解总是更为细腻而更普偏的胜人一筹。又是谁最早提出的稳扎稳打两条腿, 绝不过早开003的呢？ 不說大家也知道。
不能不提我们中国人特有的中西语言的汇融。 语句特有的可塑力, 前无古人。 有些语句真的是没法儿翻, 翻过来反到没了号召力。 刘敏的一句"Sponsor, spon.... 就是死帮到底呀!" 说得队伍势气高涨, 方阵般的前行； 说得BV象圆宝似的从天上往下掉, 说得自己成了Millionaire, 也说得我们FBL区又有了新版主. （注: 我们本想高薪娉请, 可是刘敏說，"工商价位"就可以喽, 反正是为大家搓合搓合吗!）
3. 美安人as a Culture:
一个有待认同又具有超越意识的理念：
毫不保留地說, meianren.NET在某种程度上同样具有着一种超越的意识。它似乎有别于生意上的某种启承关系，它是一个充分发挥旁线作用的网，因为每一个上meianren.NET的网友都是旁线。也因此会有很多人感到忧虑，这并不奇怪。 会有人问, 在论坛上能谈出真东西来吗? 我们说, 在论坛这个环境里, 今天可以叫自己猪八戒, 明天可以叫自己王母娘娘, 往往是无拘无束，真话百出, 至少是真话多, 假话少。 还会有人问，这对发展团队能有什么好处呢？这些真的是很实际的问题。也是个很让人担心的问题！它好像是在考验我们，考验我们的理念有多健全又有多脆弱。 我们可以明确一点，那就是meianren.NET永远是属于众人的网。它将是所有美安人经验心理创业心酸成功快乐心想事成的结晶，也正因此它将有自己的脉膊和顽强的生命力。
meianren.NET的语调定音是由美安人来掌握的。 它没有每天固定的音符，它是美安人生活心理每时每刻的如实反映。 不可能所有在本坛的发言，语调都合乎你的心意，你的声音同样也不一定全合他人之意。 因此你的参与不仅仅是对自己的认同，也是对每个人发言权的肯定。
有关劳骚，有人觉得我们的劳骚区会带来太多副面的东西。我们承认美安人同任何人一样都有自己的劳骚，但是我们不认为建了一个网，就多一个发劳骚的地方。我们的看法恰恰相反。Marcel Proust说过, 自觉地写一次pastiche, 以后永不再写同样的东西. 在meianren.NET我们说, 自愿地发一次劳骚, 以后永不再发同样的劳骚. 你能做到吗？
meianren.NET必须挑战现存意识。有人会发劳骚, 就会有人来打气，有人信心十足, 就会有人说风凉话；当你自觉有句含在候咙里无法说出的话时, 会有人帮你说开说透.。 当你自觉无击可溃, 可以高枕无忧时, 又会有人前来戳穿你的画皮；这就是交流,，这就是现代论坛在我们每一个身上所产生的摧动力。 这就是生活中无可避免的你来我往。
树立一个有血有肉的形象:
也许你曾试着在search engine上做过这样的搜索, 也许你曾很奇怪地发现在找到的信息中, 反面被动的呼声大概多于正面的呼声。而且往往是反面的呼声呼得有声有色有细节, 而正面的呼声却总是吱吱晤晤象壶没烧开的水。为什么会是这样, 美安人有没有更好的办法去面对这些问题, 不是我们这篇文章想回答的关键.。但是我们说, 这应该是留给大家去思考的, 这也许是个可以带到论坛上去让大家充分讨论的问题。
我们可以通过论坛的讨论来证明美安人是怪物, 也可以通过论坛来证明美安人是普普通通的平常人, 甚至是比平常人还平常的普通人. 只是我们在生活目标上和习惯上作了小小的与众不同的调整.

Unlike other official blog sites, meianren.NET is created based upon a combination of elements, a) a strong public forum of not only user generated contents but also user generated topics, in which everyone can post his own topic and have people talk about it; b) reportages and articles concentrated to explore and to promote 美安人, no longer merely as a phenomenon but as a culture; We particularly interested in those who are not yet successful and are working very very hard to achieve their own personal goals. c) picture gallery that showcases 美安人 social gathering, recreations and events and parties; d) our next operational goal is, to build a complete chat room facility that benefits teams’ remote communication even when cross continent, provided real-time chat with text, voice and video capabilities, built within the same site, more convenient than Yahoo or MSN Messenger, additionally, to accompany a desire to facilitate true friends making and dating among 美安人 and beyond.
